- Remove the DNA from cheek cells

Materials:
- .9% saline solution
- micropipettes, tips
- waste container
- microcentrifuge
- microcentrifuge tubes
- PCR tubes
- agarose
- 1 X TAE
- gel chambers and molds
- load dye
- chelex
- racks
- primer mix
- master mix
- H2O
- + control DNA
Procedure:
- swish 10ml of the saline solution for 30 seconds, then spit it back in the cup
- put your pin on a 1.5ml microfuge tube
- put in 1000ul to 1500ul of the saline suspenion
- for 1 min spin in the microfuge, remember to make it balanced
- into cup, pour the top liquid leaving 100ul
- flick or rub it against a rack to resuspend it
- get chelex with your pin labeled
- add 50ul of the cell suspension into chelex
- for 10 mins put on heat block version
- put on rack in a thermal cycler for 10 mins
- open to release pressure
- get a tube and label with your pin and DNA
- place on rack to be refrigerated
- get a PCR tube and label pin under lip
- put 20 ul of master mix in it
- change tip on pipet and add 20 ul of primer mix
